In north Delhi's Burari, the BJP held a rally called 'Thank You Modi ji' to praise Prime Minister Narendra Modi for recent decisions related to land mutation in rural villages and eliminating the need for no objection certificates for power connections in some areas of Delhi. Delhi BJP chief Virendra Sachdeva referred to these decisions as a "Diwali gift" for residents of villages and unauthorized colonies. He credited the resolution of these longstanding issues to his party's efforts in meeting with LG VK Saxena. Sachdeva highlighted the sensitive response from the central government in addressing these issues, emphasizing the removal of departmental NOCs for electricity connections in unauthorized colonies and non-conforming areas of Delhi. On the other hand, AAP accused BJP of misleading the public and trying to take credit for the work done by the Delhi government. During the rally, Sachdeva mentioned the challenges faced by elders in passing down properties to their children due to restrictions imposed by the Arvind Kejriwal government, which have since been lifted upon their request. He also announced plans for BJP to win the upcoming polls in February and extend electricity and water subsidies to middle-class households. The top priorities on the agenda will be the implementation of the Prime Minister's housing program, Ayushman Bharat, and the regularization of temporary workers such as home guards, bus marshals, and guest teachers. Sachdeva criticized the AAP government for demolishing slums and assured that no colony would be demolished without providing alternative housing to its residents under the BJP's leadership. He also stated that the Yamuna River would be free of pollution within a year as part of the Nirmal Yamuna Plan.
